Carnival–Independence Weekend

So, I’m sorry for yet again not blogging on time!!! But, the reason this time is that…I’m home. Which is good I suppose…Either way, since I have a snow day tomorrow, I shall be blogging what I did not before:) Enjoy!

These are photos from the Independence Day Celebration Carnival Parade. It was the STRANGEST parade ever! First off, It was 3 hours late…second it lasted about 8 minutes, and consisted of basically, 1 school, 2 “floats” and some crazy Dominicans dressing up!(; 

The pics came out well though, so I hope you like em!

Today, we went to the fish market to get a Dorado for dinner, and a special one at that!(Its my grandma’s birthday…) When we got there though, we found out there was no Dorado:( So then we had to search for something else… finally we chose a Sea Bass. (After a lil’ negotiating…luckily we have my Grandma to do it for us!(;) Of course, as soon as we were done buying the fish, a boat came in filled with Dorado…which is usually how it goes(; Hopefully, the Sea Bass will be just as good!

Ziplining in Samana

First off, sorry for neglecting my blogging duties…there was some sort of electrical problem, causing us to lose a router for wireless. 

Anyways…I’m back and ready to share with you all the most AMAZING experience of my life. Yesterday, we went zip-lining, 1000 feet above the trees. There were 12 “stations” and it seemed that we loosened up as we went. I never actually turned over, but my 11 and 9 year old sisters were much braver than me, and did. I really can’t explain how AMAZING it all was, but hopefully these pictures help paint a better picture for everyone(; I probably will have more that I get from other cameras, etc. so there will be more to come! Enjoy!
